Ars Moriendi - and where are the consolations of the Church?

We live in a time of "crumbling" family structures. Any spare solutions (eg new networks) are still not grown back. Although the majority of the seriously ill to one's own death in hopes of a domestic / family environment, causes approximately 70% of people in the hospital.

It continues not only to formulate a "general malaise" on the dwindling presence of church and religion. In many cases the church with their offers not even perceived as "Event Service".

The rising supply of palliative care linked to the broader life care in the hospice - both outpatient and / or stationary - is welcome. to extend its presence, deserves our full support.

That practically all the offers to come in this area of church organizations is welcome and encouraging. is also for non-believers to the acceptance and credibility of our negative attitude to "offers" such as active euthanasia or assisted suicide improved. Our faith must be

only "offered" - even in the last phase of our lives.

We should not underestimate the ability to communicate in non-verbal area, the corresponding positive (Christian) messages. The consistently encountered friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the hospice failed to achieve - they are witness to our hope beyond death.

This is also offered for the "loving" new funeral culture. And: "The Stelae of the columbarium (in the All Saints Church Erfurt) tell by the light of God into which all the dead are placed.
